Ontario's Government Masterfully Conceals Climate Change Report, Proving Inaction is the Best Action
The ever-efficient government strikes again! Premier Doug Ford's administration has expertly managed to commission a report warning about climate change's dire effects on Ontario and then bury it for eight months. Bravo! Who needs timely information when we can just wait for the crisis to unfold?
But don't worry, folks, because according to Environment Minister David Piccini's spokesperson, they've been diligently working to incorporate these findings. Clearly, their definition of "action" involves a healthy dose of procrastination.
And let's not forget the government's reluctance to draw attention to the report's findings. I mean, who cares about climate change impacting food production, businesses, and vulnerable populations when there are more pressing matters, like... well, who knows?
In the grand tradition of political maneuvering, it's reassuring to see that the government's climate adaptation strategy involves as much secrecy and delay as possible. After all, why address urgent issues when we can just hope they magically disappear?
